D-05 Immediate — Pilot Start · Weeks 1–2 Open Funding Ref: FND-01

Pilot Funding Source

How is the pilot phase funded — self-funded, grant-funded, client token fee, or a combination?

This decision determines how fast and at what scale the pilot can be executed. Self-funding maintains independence but limits capacity. A GIZ or bilateral grant adds credibility and capital but requires a legal entity and 6–18 months lead time. A small client fee validates willingness to pay early but may reduce pilot uptake.

Options
Self-funded (bootstrapped) GIZ / bilateral grant Token fee from pilot clients (USD 200–500 per engagement) Combination — self-fund short-term, apply for grants in parallel
