Module 5 RE Integration — Beta or Post-Beta

Should the Renewable Energy Integration Assessment module (solar PV, biomass/biogas, storage, RE procurement) be included in Beta scope or deferred to post-Beta?

Module 5 covers solar PV feasibility (roof area, irradiance, self-consumption ratio, payback), on-site biomass/biogas potential from factory waste, energy storage for peak shaving, and RE procurement options (PPAs, green tariffs, RECs). It is the natural follow-on question after efficiency improvements are identified. Commercial triggers: BD solar incentive schemes, CBAM compliance pathways, buyer net-zero requirements. Effort: 8–10 weeks. The argument for deferral: efficiency modules (4.x) should be solid before adding generation. The argument for inclusion: 'reduce waste, then generate clean' is a complete story that increases platform value for EU buyers immediately.

Options
Include in Beta — build in Phase C (Month 6–8) Defer to post-Beta — prioritise efficiency module depth Conditional — include if pilot clients signal demand for it at Month 3 review
